Up To 50 Acres Per HourThe importance of effective and efficient conditioning is clear. MegaCutter™ mounted disc mowers and disc mower-conditioners match capacity to your imagination.
The Combination That’S Right For YouNew Holland offers triple-swath productivity both with conditioning and without to fit your crops, your tractor horsepower and your budget.
Durability To Handle Tough ConditionsEvery part of the MegaCutter™ system is ruggedly built for high-speed mowing. Keeping knives sharp is easy with the standard quick-change knife system.
Roll Or Flail ConditioningIf your crops require conditioning, MegaCutter™ disc mower-conditioners offer you the choice of gentle rubber chevron intermeshing rolls perfect for legume crops or steel V-tine flail conditioning for grass hay.
Capacity As Big As Your Harvesting AmbitionsToday’s commercial operations and custom harvesters know preserving forage quality is like money in the bank. It’s a process that begins when the first crop falls and only ends when the bales are stacked and the bunk is packed. New Holland can help you reach your goal with high-capacity MegaCutter™ solutions.
Features may include:
Standard Quick-Change Knife System Keeps You Cutting SharpSharp knives give you the clean cut you want with less crop left behind. As a result, you harvest more tons, get fast regrowth and assure your forage quality for the next cutting. Keeping knives sharp is easy with the standard quick-change knife system. It allows you to change damaged knives fast or flip an entire set and get back to mowing pronto to keep on your mowing schedule.
Steel Flail Tine ConditioningSteel flail tines are positioned at an angle to the rotor’s center, providing increased outward crop pressure against the adjustable conditioning hood and improving swath and windrow formation. You can adjust the hood to change the conditioning intensity. The semi-swinging flail tines allow obstructions to pass, for better protection compared to fixed poly or steel tines. And unlike conventional, free-swinging tines, they cannot swing back over center, but are held in the ideal place by centrifugal force for efficient and effective conditioning and uniform swath and windrow formation.
Faster Speeds, Faster ResponseAutomatic steering control maintains pass-to-pass accuracy, allowing operators to use faster working speeds and reducing fatigue. When operators are free from making continuous manual adjustments, they are better able to react to obstructions hidden in the field.
