When it comes to accuracy and precision, the 1255 pull-type, inter-row banding or broadcast applicator is the go-to solution. An ideal machine for fertilizer, seeds, herbicide and insecticide application, the 1255 offers an 18 cubic feet stainless steel hopper that is built for durability, with broadcast or inter-row booms for accurate application. The 1255 is ideal for fields and areas that require precise product placement. The 1255 is designed with a Murphy gauge that is connected to the in-cab control with warning light and buzzer to warn of insufficient air pressure, ensuring proper application.
Features may include:IN-CAB CONTROL MONITORThe Valmar 1255 features dual electric clutch control, which allows for on-the-go adjustments from the operator’s seat. Two magnetic clutches connected to an in-cab control unit allow for section shutoff of both left- and right-hand booms. Implementing swath control allows for precise application of granular products including herbicides, fertilizers, insecticides and seeds. Minimizing overlap also reduces input costs and ensures that you are achieving your target application rate across the entire area being applied.
To ensure that proper air pressure is being achieved, the Valmar 1255 features a Murphy gauge to measure air manifold pressure using an inches of water column. This gauge is connected to the 1255 in-cab control unit providing a pressure reading as well as a warning light and buzzer in the case that sufficient air pressure is not being achieved.
BOOM OPTIONS FOR BANDING OR BROADCASTINGThe 1255 allows for use of a broadcast or inter-row banding boom option. The broadcast boom features a 16-foot boom with 6 deflectors on each side and options for a 4- or 8-foot boom extension (20- or 24-foot total boom length). The inter-row banding option uses 2 stainless steel assemblies with 6 drop tubes on each side of the unit, which telescope to accommodate widths up to 10 feet. The inter-row banding kit also includes a 7-foot, non-folding broadcast boom with breakaways for inter-row broadcasting using 12 drop tubes. Both options are capable of adjusting the boom height from 18 to 36 inches, allowing you to suit the 1255 specifically to your application needs.
EASY CALIBRATION FOR ACCURATE APPLICATIONA proper calibration ensures that the correct application rate is being achieved for a given granular product. The Valmar 1255 simplifies the calibration process with a couple key features. The 1255 uses a quick release, which lowers the Venturi and manifold systems and allows for easy installation of the calibration funnels. This helps when performing a calibration or when emptying the hopper is required.
A calibration hand crank is included with the 1255 and is used to turn the metering system during the calibration process. This is a simple and effective way of determining the precise application rate that is being achieved, giving you confidence in your Valmar 1255.
