2024 Salford HALO HSD 40 ft
Features may include:
Salford’s HALO HSD high-speed disk is engineered for speed, performance, and ease of use. The HALO HSD features maintenance-free blade hubs and advanced seal technology. The HALO HSD is capable of multi-season tillage and operates between 8 and 14-mph to perform superior leveling in less time. The HALO’s individually mounted blades are mounted on a rubber torsion suspension providing maximum clearance and obstacle protection.
HIGH CLEARANCE AND OBSTACLE PROTECTIONThe HALO HSD’s individually mounted blades allow for maximum residue and soil flow, while the angled blade mounting arms are designed to keep the HALO HSD at depth in hard ground. The blades have rubber torsion suspension, which are capable of 7.5? of travel for obstacle protection in rough and rocky conditions. Each 22? blade is independently mounted, which absorbs the shock load and provides an even finish.
EASY TO OPERATEThe HALO HSD is simple to set! Quick-set depth control and a quick set control for setting pressure on the finishing tool. The operator station keeps implement connections protected, organized and at the operator’s finger tips. The color coded hose grips take out the guess work when connecting Salford implements to the tractor.
LEVEL SIDE-TO-SIDE AND FRONT-TO-BACKThe HALO frame system is engineered to level fields with side-to-side and front-to-back hydraulic settings that keep the machine running level.
HALO’s wings can be run with active down pressure. This keeps the machine operating level from side to side and ensures wings stay engaged in tough conditions.
A hydraulic fore / aft leveling system is designed to prevent the high-speed frame from hopping in rough conditions.
HALO’s mainframe has a large pitch indicator easily seen from the cab that makes it easy to see the fore / aft setting and return to the same position field to field.
FLOATATION TIRESHALO models feature flotation tires for maximum field flotation and safe transport. 20-foot through 35-foot machines have 600/50-22.5. 40-foot machines have 800/40-22.5.
HALO models with 30-foot working width and up have wing gauge wheels to keep the machine at the set operating depth. 30-foot models have 500/50R17 gauge wheels, 35 and 40-foot models have 550/45R22.5.

SUPERIOR FINISHING SYSTEMSThe HALO HSD has three finishing system options. A simple hydraulic pressure adjustment quickly creates the ideal field finish in almost any soil and residue conditions. HALO tools are designed to promote good seed to soil contact by conditioning and sizing residue. The finishing systems further condition and help to evenly distribute residue to improved planting and seeding performance.
Double 14 inch flat bar rolling basketThe double 14 inch roller provides a finer finish and seedbed, but it’s also heavy enough to size soil clods, condition residue and level. The double 14 inch rollers are carried by 1 1/2 inch maintenance free bearings. The linkage is a simple, maintenance-free system with hardened bushings and pins.
23-Inch Round Bar Cage RollerThe heavy-duty roller is designed to size soil clods, condition residue and level the field surface. The roller is carried by a heavy-duty disc-style bearing with a wide inner race for proper alignment and maximum durability.
Otico Wave-Profile Farmflex® RollerThe flexible roller’s ability to shed sticky soil allows it to excel in a variety of soil types, such as heavy clay and gumbo soils. The flexible roller also helps to minimize damage from rocks and obstacles in the field.
