The JTI special consists of three outlets, two tower centre pieces followed by a single rear orchard head.
Which utilizes the LDT30-68S tower centers, the boom on each side has 11 nozzles, with ceramic tipped TX-V K10 black teejet nozzles and one rear outlet orchard head with a split boom with 12 nozzle ,ceramic tipped TX-VK12 brown teejet nozzles.
Utilizes the LDT30-85S towers centres, the boom on each side of this model has 13 nozzels, each with the same ceramic tipped TX VK10 black teejet nozzles, and teh same rear outlet orchard head with a split boom with 12 ceramic tipped TX-Vk12 brown teejet nozzles utilized in the JTI-68S model.
The rear split boom has 6 nozzles per size which are plumbed into the left or right tower, keeping two zones only, left of right, any nozzles in this combo can be turn on or off individually and each has a 10 lb check valves to eliminate leakage after shutdown.
A Raven SCS 330 can be added to this combo as it can to any turbomist accessory. This combination utilizing the TX visflo hollow cone nozzles give a average water droplet size of between 75-100 microns, this competes nicely with air shear coverage but without the problem of sobbering occuring when trying to spray above 75 gallons per acre. Click "download brochure" for a PDF published by spray systems, manufacturers of the teejet nozzles, showing the average micron size of the water droplets (DVO.1) for TKVK10 nozzles at 120psi is 77 microns and for the TKVK12 nozzles at 120psi is 84 microns.
This allows excellent coverage, regardless of the water volume chosen and is particulary suited to closed non drift applications such as hop plantings and V tressis apple planting, anywhere that reduces wind which could cause small droplets to drift. This water droplet size is what Gearmore and accutech sell their sprayers on, that is the airshear concept is completely about smaller water droplets improving coverage, the TX series nozzles from teejet allows you to keep all the standard airblast features you are accustomed to, but utilize this droplet size where drift allows.
This three piece tower /outlet combo allows hop growers to spray only the young vines in spring and then as the tops grow in, to turn on the rear boom and reach that hard to spray top of the wire position. For V trellis apple plantings the three piece combination can be used all year and will be effective for chemical thinning
